Lomb Scientific - National supplier of instruments and consumables to Australia's Scientific Research and Medical community.

In my capacity as managing Director of Lomb scientific I employed Michael Goldie from Oaks Consulting Group as an external consultant to review our organisational structure including the management personnel and to review and identify business systems and procedures.

During the last nine months, Michael in conjunction with the existing management team has examined both strategic and operational issues confronting our business.

The resultant process had identified a magnitude of opportunities to improve our existing systems and procedures and has forced individual managers and the management team as a whole to firmly focus on fundamental strategies to ensure the organisation continues to grow and prosper into the future.

OCG contribution particularly in the screening and recruitment of new personnel is seen to good effect and the ongoing advice and assistance in implementing regular performance appraisals has proven very beneficial.
